Coming Home to Yourself

An In-Person Mindfulness Meditation Series at CenterPeace Troy

Mindfulness practice is powerful on its own, but practicing in community can offer a different kind of support. When we gather together, we are reminded that we are not the only ones trying to slow down, listen inwardly, and meet life with more presence and compassion.

Coming Home to Yourself is a four-week in-person mindfulness meditation series at CenterPeace Troy. This class is open to beginners as well as experienced meditators who want a supportive space to reconnect with their practice.

Together, we will explore the foundations of mindfulness through guided meditation, reflection, and discussion. Each week offers a gentle opportunity to pause, nourish your heart and mind, and bring more kindness and awareness into your daily life.

You are welcome to attend one class or the full four-week series.

Class themes include:

Week 1: Mindfulness of breath and body
Week 2: Mindfulness of emotions
Week 3: Lovingkindness and compassion
Week 4: Bringing mindfulness into everyday life

This is a space to slow down, practice with others, and come home to yourself with kindness and curiosity.

Mindfulness & Sound Healing for Women in Midlife

A shallow, clear stream flowing through a lush, green forest with rocks and stones along the banks and within the water.

Midlife can feel like a turning point.

You’ve spent years caring for others, holding responsibility, and meeting expectations. And now something in you is asking for attention, rest, clarity, and a deeper sense of who you are beneath all the roles you carry.

I offer mindfulness and sound-based practices to support women in midlife who feel stressed, overwhelmed, or disconnected from themselves. Together, we create space to quiet the mind, open the heart, and reconnect with what is most precious and sustaining within you.

My offerings are intentionally small and relational, grounded in presence rather than performance.

Mindfulness Offerings

Meditation Groups & Classes

Guided Insight (Vipassana) meditation and Metta (loving-kindness) practices designed to reduce stress, support emotional resilience, and cultivate clarity and compassion. These groups are welcoming to all levels, including those returning to meditation after time away.

One-on-One Mindfulness Mentoring (limited availability)

Personalized support for women navigating stress, life transitions, caregiving, grief, or burnout. Mentoring sessions focus on building a steady, sustainable mindfulness practice and learning how to apply these teachings in daily life—not just on the cushion.

Mindfulness Mentor Groups

Small, supportive groups exploring shared themes such as compassion, boundaries, resilience, and presence. These groups offer community, reflection, and practice for women who want to deepen their mindfulness journey alongside others.

Sound & Vibrational Healing

Sound Meditations & Sound Baths

Using crystal bowls, gong, harmonium, and voice, sound meditation offers a gentle and accessible way to calm the nervous system and support rest, regulation, and inner listening. Sound can be especially helpful for those who struggle with traditional seated meditation.

Community Drumming Circles

Rhythm and drumming as pathways to grounding, connection, and joy. These circles invite embodied presence, shared experience, and a sense of belonging—no musical experience required.

Sound and vibrational offerings are available for individuals, community groups, wellness gatherings, and corporate settings in the Metro Detroit area.

How I Teach

My approach is:

Pragmatic

These practices are meant to support real life, offering tools you can bring into moments of stress, relationship challenges, and everyday responsibilities.

Compassion-centered

Kindness is foundational. We meet what’s here with honesty, gentleness, and care—especially in moments of difficulty.

Trauma-informed

I offer practices with choice, sensitivity, and grounding so each person can stay connected to their own sense of safety and inner wisdom.

Experiential

I don’t ask you to take my word for anything. Try it. Notice how it feels. See what shifts.

Respectful of your unique path

There is no single right way to practice. We explore what supports you.
