Thai food for dinner tonight to celebrate finishing a huge grant submission. I needed this reminder today to help me know I am not silly for dreaming that I can use my writing and creative skills not only for my day job but also for my own personal creative work.
I can put work out there and say “Here, look what I made.”
I can call myself a writer and artist and not just a grant writer.

Funny, when I hear “grant writer” I think of the ones I’ve worked on for funding basic science research e.g. to the NIH. Yes, you are more than a grant writer!
yea, it took me a while to realize that I earn money from writing. But grant writing is so much different than the writing I want to be doing more of. Plus, government grant writing is even more dry. Thanks for your comment!
